The CEO of Conflict Women Ltd – Asiya S. Mohammed. Asiya has always been fascinated by jewellery and art, she spent endless hours traversing some of the world’s most interesting bazaars and markets, and visualizing how art could be used for social change. This passion further manifested itself in purchasingArabic calligraphy in Egypt, wooden jewellery in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and beaded necklaces in South America. Conflict Women merged her passion for women’s rights with her appreciation of art and jewelry.
A graduate of the London School of Economic sand Political Science, Asiya’s professional career spans the globe and she has worked in Africa, Europe, the Middle East, the Caribbean and the Americas to advance in gender and human rights initiatives with Governments, international development agencies and NGOs.
